LOT OF XVIIIth CENTURY BOOKS

A complete set of twenty authentic leather-bound books from the 18th century. Every volume is an original printing from the 1700s — no reproductions, no facsimiles, no modern reprints.

Each set is assembled from our stock of period volumes, so the exact titles, bindings, sizes, and subjects vary from set to set. Expect a mix of history, literature, theology, law, and classical texts in Latin, French, English, and other European languages. The books shown in the photographs are representative examples of the type and quality supplied.

These volumes carry three centuries of handling: worn leather, rubbed spines, gilt tooling, marbled boards and edges, foxing, and the occasional loose or detached cover. That patina is what gives a shelf of genuine 18th-century books its presence — and it cannot be faked.
